Thank you for considering volunteering with Old North Canine Rescue (ONCR). We are a non-profit rescue for shelter and other homeless dogs.  Volunteers with a variety of skills are needed to save these animals and find them their forever homes. Current Volunteer Positions

Coordinators Needed

  • Director: Felicia Spadini
    • Foster Coordinator:  OPEN
  • Intake Coordinator: Marlene Manibo-Garcia

Volunteers Needed

  • Foster – please complete a foster application
  • Fundraising – planning fundraisers and events
  • Grant writer – help us find funds to support our rescue
  • Web programmer – keep us up to date with the latest technology and use of apps
  • Transport – dog taxi when fosters are unable to transport to vet appointments or for northern pick up pups

*Under 18 Policy
ONCR strives to ensure the safety of every volunteer. If you are under the age of 18, there are a few simple guidelines that must be adhered to in regards to ouf policies.

  • No minor under the age of 16 can volunteer without a parent present at all times
  • All minor volunteers MUST attend orientation prior to volunteering
